I got my mom a grow box for Mother's Day and we planted one tomato plant and four green bell pepper plants. Our town home backs up to a woodsy/swampy area and there is any number of raccoonss, birds, squirrels, mice, etc. back there not to mention the bugs. So we keep the grow box on our screened in lanai. Everything did really well for the first few weeks, but in the last couple of weeks the green bell peppers have had white fies and aphids. We've tried two different insecticides and lately dish soap. We spray them in the evening and by the next evening there are new aphids, I cannot get rid of these little suckers!! The tomato does not seem to have any bugs, in fact there is even a tomato. I'm getting worried about the peppers though, all of the buds have shriveled up and died and the leaves are not looking so good either. We live in the Tampa Bay area in Florida so it gets very hot, I'm worried that what we spray forms a residue and then bakes on the leaves. Should I rinse the plants after I spray them? Any suggestions would be welcome!

from personal experience, baking soda makes your hair suuuuper dry and kind of clumps together in the shower like when you use a very drying shampoo. What is causing HVAC odor?

I have an Unico HVAC system w/ Bryant AC units that use Puron 410A. There was a leak and the contractor recharged the system. Now I have a smell like Crayola crayons coming from the system. My girlfriend and I have been together for 10 months. in the beginning i was her "knight in shining armor". she loved everything about me. Will an upgrade to windows 7 fix a windows vista update reboot loop?

My computer running Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit is stuck in an endless reboot loop after displaying "Installing Updates: Step 3 of 3. 0%". I checked online and it said the reboot loop is caused by a faulty update. The official fix for it was booting from the original install DVD and then using system restore to go back to an earlier point. The problem is that my computer didn't find any points to restore from and I am now stuck with a rebooting computer that won't let me access any of my files or even get to the login screen. I was wondering, if I perform an upgrade (NOT a clean install) from windows vista to windows 7, will it fix the reboot loop? Supposedly I can just boot from the windows 7 Install DVD without logging into vista. I cannot do a clean install or a reinstall of vista because I have all my music and documents that aren't backed up. please help. Any other working fixes for this problem are also appreciated.

weird....i don't know about the clothes BUT on the walls, it could be previous stains, (such as nicotine), that were not sealed correctly before the last paint job. Why is my computer freezing while playing TF2 and full screen videos?

Sorry, I don't have all the specs of my computer. It is fairly new, a year or two old, with windows 7. I've ran 4 or 5 programs to scan for viruses, and to defrag the computer. since about a year ago every time I viewed a video (on youtube for example) in FULL SCREEN, my computer froze and went black, looping the last half second of audio over and over until I shut it off. This did not happen immediately, but after a seemingly random amount of time after going full screen. I just recently downloaded TF2 (Team Fortress 2) from Steam, and It has the same problem. After a seemingly random amount of time it freezes and loops audio etc. Ive even played it in windowed mode and it still does this. So I have heard 3, 4, 5, and 6 biking miles to 1 running mile. As of right now, I can't start running due to a still healing injury, however I can bike. The course I am currently using is 1.02 miles, and I just do that loop over and over. The elevation changes for this loop go as follows: from the start to .2 it is a slight downhill (1130 to 1120 ft). From .2 to .7 it is a gradual uphill (1120 to 1180ft). From .7 back to the start it is a downhill (1180 to 1130ft). Around how many biking miles on this course would be equal to 1 running mile? Also, which gear would be best (as in, should I go for more rpm, or more resistance but fewer rpm)?

You may just have product build up on it even though you don't use much and although the shampoo and condition has been washed out it can still leave a residue on the hair, I had a client not that long ago with the same issue my advice would be to buy a cheap basic shampoo for normal hair as these all have sulphate (in which slightly dearer better quality shampoos don't have) they don't have these because the sulphate is known to strip your hair especially coloured hair (which I know yours isn't ) but if you do have any sort of product, shampoo or conditioner build up it should sort it out! But if the problem was to persist I would contact your GP! Hope this was of help to you!

That would be 34 feet total length if that fits your attic. layed out 'square' that would be 8.5 foot on a side, but shape is not critical and 6 x 11 rectangle will be just as good. where the ends come together is called the feed point. that will have a 120 ohm resistance. it is hard finding a balun of that exact size for connecting to the coax unless you wind your own. you can use a commercial 1:1 balun and then run about 7 feet of RG6 (75 ohm coax, like used to match twin antennas) to transform to regular 50 ohm coax like RG58 or miniRG8 that should get you close to a low swr.

I have a compaq evo n1015v laptop. when i start it up, i see the opening with the word "COMPAQ". then, it brings me to a screen with options of how to start it, such as "safe mode", "safe mode with networking", "last known good configuration", "start normally", etc. i would click on one ( doesn't matter which ) and it would try to load, but then stop and start from the beginning again. kinda like a loop. so how do i fix it? im really desperate and would try anything. im so frustrated that im willing to throw it off the back of a truck and watch it smash to millions of peices!!

I've been out of the loop for, well, most of my life, I've had just a few short lived relationships but I've felt really entirely out of touch for the last two years. The people I hang out with mostly are younger than me (average 2 years), I wouldn't really call them friends, because there's definitely a maturity difference, but they're my group I guess if I have one. What do you think about Anime and Cartoons? Which one is better?

I'm not trying to argue my point and/or change people's mind about the topic. I just want to know what you think about anime and cartoons and which one is better. I like both anime and cartoons but I say anime is better. I grew up with the classic cartoons and anime (Pokemon) but cartoons have changed over the past few years (aka to much 3d graphics and not enough 2d graphics). Anime has never changed (ok maybe a little but not as much as cartoons have). Plus in anime you can say and do more that you cannot do and say in cartoons thus making anime shows like K-ON! much more funny then the comedy cartoons over here in america. Plus the facial expressions (like a cloud of smoke coming out of the characters head) are way better and anime is never over drawn but cartoons cannot find the middle (aka fan boy and chum chum: over drawn and Phineas and Ferb: under drawn). Also, the storyline is way better and has a lasting impact on others more then cartoons.

i am 33 years old and had pancreatitis recently. when i went to the doc for abdominal pain, they did a quick rectal exam. the test was positive for blood. the weird thing is, there is no blood that I see when i pass a stool ever. for a few months before my pancreas acted up, i was constipated. this constipation thing is something that runs in my family, but no cancers. Some times i would have to push really hard to go. sometimes if i pushed too hard, i would see a little pink on the napkin. after my bout with pancreatitis, i change my diet to high fiber and low fats. i no longer drink or smoke. that has helped a lot and it is easier to go to the bath room. i have not seen the pink residue on the napkin since. it seems like i had some hemorrhoids. i am getting a ct scan of my abdoman in about a month to see what the cause of my pancreatits is. i have so much debt already. i really can't afford anymore. I will get medical treatment as needed. but i really want to avoid unnessecary expences. my gastro doc even said the chances of me having something in my colon is slim to none. he is more concerned with me pancreas, than my rectum. of course they have to recommend it ifr there is blood in your stool.

My laptop won't start!!!?

Okay, I don't know what I did, but my laptop WILL NOT start! I turn it on and it takes me to the screen where I put a password on my computer (the whole computer), like always, I type in the password and it goes to a black screen that says 'Windows StartUp Failed...' etc. I click on 'Start Windows Normally' and it loops back to the computer password screen. I have a neighbour who lets her dog go on people's private property. Yes, she picks it up, but that is not the point. It is not appropriate to do this. I have never seen anyone so bold and ignorant. No one else who has a dog does this. I have called by-law and they tell me they have no jurisdiction as long as she picks it up. Even the police told me to try and approach her first. Translucent coloured vomit and nose residue! - 10 points?

The other day I was in an exam and I sneezed, I looked on my hand and then on it, There was this extremely thick translucent goo on it, with a white tint, smelling slightly like oysters. About 2 tablespoons full, 'Twas followed by an extremely painful feeling all across my face and chin. Red spot on my 7 week old's neck?

My daughter has a red spot on her neck, under the folds. It appeared earlier today but it was pink, and there was some milk residue in it. I cleaned her whole neck and didn't think too much of it. Scrapbook stores carry a sticker remover that is made for removing stickers from scrapbook pages without damaging the paper. That could work, but I don't know what it is called. Hope this helps.

Just get a little 6oz squeeze tube of caulk and fill in the gaps with a bead of it. If it smells that bad from your neighbors cooking I doubt a little outlet cover behind the fridge is the reason the odor is coming through, but sealing the gap up will do nothing but help.

Trying to create a growth loop in java?

In java, I'm completing a class for a game that creates circles and makes them grow at a certain rate until they reach their maximum radius and pop, unless the user clicks on the circle to pop it themselves. the rest of the program is written, however the class i need to write is the one which creates the circles and defines the growth amount. I have gotten through creating circle based on given points and radii, with a grow method that states the current radius becomes the starting radius + growth amount. however, I can't figure out how to loop the circle back to the grow method IF the current radius hasn't reached its given pop radius. I was required to create a boolean method that answers the question "has the circle popped?". Do i need to create a loop within this method or declare it somewhere else? how do i return to the grow method if it hasn't popped? I'm not sure about the actual time increments, I can play with that after i get the program running, i just need to get the growth function working (i can start using an increment of 1000ms).

Hi, i recently inherited a M1 Garand and a M1 Carbine from my Grandfather and was wonder, would restoring them diminish the value or raise it. Can car salesman lie about the cars?

The other day, I went to look at a used car at a dealership and, at the time, asked him if there were any engine problems (oil leaks, transmission, etc.) and he immediately told me there was nothing wrong with it. After our test drive, I noticed a light smell of burning oil and proceeded to inspect the engine for myself. How do you use downloaded loop packs for Reason 4?

So I got Reason 4 the other day, and I really enjoy it. My only problem is that I cannot figure out how to run .wav files in Dr.Rex loop or Redrum Drum Computer. My coolant is empty all the time!?

Hi i noticed one day my coolant was empty so i filled it up a few days later my engine overheated and the engine management light went on and was because my coolant was empty again after a few day! i fill it up 6 times until it had leveled out! i live in dartford and drive to crawley every day and which is an hour and when i have completed my journey it is 50-75% empty! There is no visible leak anywhere! Not in the foot wells or under the car i took to to a garage an they couldn't tell me what was wrong but charged me a ridiculous amount to find out! And now i have notices there is a white residue on the cap. Someone help me please. Has this happened to you?

My check engine light indicates misfire in cylinder 2. car shakes when idling only.?

I have a 1997 mercury mountaineer 5.0 liter v8 engine the vehicle is idling rough when I'm stoped in all gears but neutral. It over heated a couple days ago 6/18/11 due to a busted radiator. I was driving on the freeway and of course car overheated and stalled out when I got it home I realilze there was oil that had spilled out of the oil dipstick and got all over the headers I finally replace the radiator new with new hoses and fasterners the cars engine light was still on got a diagnostics test saying misfiring in cylinder 2 and oxygen sensor error I inspected second cylinder to find there was residue all around the sparkplug looked like oil I took the sparkplug off to find oily residue on the sparkplug so I replaced the sparkplug with Ford oem part autolite double platinum just like the rest of the sparkplugs and install a new wire for that spark plug inspected the distributor caps clean and error free I have also replaced fuel filter with a wix racing filter change the oil and oil filter new air filter so I'm running out of thing but the engine I have a hunch suspecting that it might be a warped cylinder causing the misfire. If you guys can help at all in wondering what it might be and an estimated figure of how much it might be? I would greatly appreciate it Thank you

My Pomeranian has bad intestinal issues, vets on here please help?

I got my female pom at 10'weeks old, the day I got her she was having bad diarrhea. The vet figured she has a sensitive stomach because when they did a fecal test nothing showed, so she has been on a high fiber low residue dog food. It's helped but not completely. Two weeks ago she was having blood in her poo, so I took her to the emergency vet. They found out she had giardia. She's been treated, and she finished the meds for giardia last week and the second medication yesterday. Now she has bad diarrhea again, to the point where everywhere she sat in my living room had a poop stain. I've noticed she is dragging her butt across the grass when she goes as well. Do I need to get her retested for giardia? What other explanation can there be?

Sediment in my urine?

So i found this bottle of urine under my bed from whenever, the bottle was clear, and the urine became cloudy near the bottom. When i poured it out it left a residue that resembled salt, or some crystal, there were also some smaller "crystals" that were brownish orange and shaped like a sunflower seed (without the shell). Use a wire brush dipped in the solution and scrub the hard to reach places. For the brick faces, just use a piece of brick dipped in the solution and rub the other bricks. After cleaning, spray off with water hose so the acid doesn't keep eating away at the mortar. You can by Muriatic acid at any pool and spa store by the way.

And the little brothers mom blamed him for 33 years that it was his fault his brother died because he didn't stop the guy from killing his brother. And then 33 years after they killed him. The little brother and the man who killed him(after serving prision time for the murder) went to a castle for an interview for a TV segment about what happened that night. But the little brother(now a 40 year old man) planned on killing him for what he did to him and for killing his brother....thats all I saw....

I'm going though some problems with a girl and could use an outside opinion?

So i just gonna jump right into it. I've been seeing this girl for about a year at this point. Her and I were just friends for awhile, just hanging out every now and then, texting and just talking when we seen eachother. Then after about 5 or 6 months of this, things happened between us that people that are just "friends" don't do. Then shortly after that she started acting really weird, just not being the usually her. i figured it was just something going on in her life and she didn't seem like a relationship was what she wanted so i kept to myself until i got phone call of her crying her eyes out about someone in her family being in ICU. In my mind that was of a sign that she wanted more. So after that she was almost like every other month she would talk to me and the next she would be awkward. When i would ask her about when she acting weird she'd always say the same thing "things happen, i don't wanna be in a relationship. I'm not good at them" So after about the third time of this i decided to just stop chasing a dead end. But so how though friends of friends we seen each other one night after not talking for almost 5 or 6 weeks and we ended up that night acting like a couple that nothing bad had ever happened between us. Then outta no where she asked me at what point do you think people love each other. This threw my *** for a loop. We started getting serious and everything was great, no problems, no fighting and then out of now where told me she didn't want or need a relationship anymore. This time it actually hurt instead just being another person and bullshit. We have fought about it and i keep getting mixed feeling from her like we'll talk again and then days were she acts like she hates me. I really hate to keep bothering my friends and family about it. i put on a face like it doesn't bother me at all but i really miss the girl and wish things would get better.
