What is that weird smell from my deodorant?

I put on deodorant right after I shower. But sometimes after a day, it smells extremely gross that I wanna throw up. Weirdly, it happens randomly and not all the time. So is it the deodorant that wears off and leaves a residue that mixes into my skin to make the weird smell?
