I have a window ac that blows cold but also leaves a sticky residue on the the furniture it blows on, safe?

Sounds like to me your window unit is not draining condensation very well and is essentially blowing it in vapor,.... defeating the purpose of dehumidifying. If anyone smokes in the house, that is the sticky residue...... (yuck)
